This year's number one in the top 10 of franchise industry is not new occupant of the position. Subway, the giant specialized in sandwich and salad making, dominates this top for the last 15 years. This top is made annually and comprises the most 500 successful franchises in the world.
Subway is Connecticut based multinational restaurant franchise, founded in 1965 by Fred DeLuca and Peter Buck. They are confident in their success policy and in the future development of their business. They are constantly looking for new markets, as they are confident that the necessity for fast food restaurants is growing with the rapid growth of the number of shopping centers, neighborhoods, as well as city development.
Number two on this year's list of the most successful franchises is held by Dunkin' Donut. In just a year, from 2006 to 2007, they have climbed the ladder from number 6 to number 2. Its recent success is due to a slight change in their policy.
